Day 1
Akwaaba! Welcome to Ghana
Upon arrival at Kotoka International Airport, you will go through all formalities before stepping out into the vibrant atmosphere of Ghana. After clearing immigration, a friendly guide will meet you at the airport. You'll board our comfortable bus and head straight to your hotel, where you'll rest for the night, preparing for the exciting days ahead. In the evening, we will host a traditional welcome ceremony to mark the beginning of your journey. This is a special time to meet your in-country trip leaders and fellow travelers. Expect an enchanting display of traditional music and dance, ushering you into the heart of Ghanaian culture. For those visiting Ghana for the first time, this is also your opportunity to indulge in your first taste of authentic Ghanaian cuisine – a delicious and memorable experience.Day 2

Accra City Tour: A Modern Capital with Deep Roots
Today is all about immersing yourself in the rich history and vibrant energy of Accra. We’ll begin the day with a visit to the iconic Independence Square, a symbol of Ghana's freedom and pride. From there, we’ll head to the Kwame Nkrumah Mausoleum, the final resting place of Ghana’s first president, where you’ll gain insights into the country’s founding and its first leader’s vision. Next, we’ll visit Makola Market, a bustling hub where you can experience the lively trade of local goods, crafts, and textiles, offering a real taste of daily life in Accra. As the sun sets, we’ll dive into Accra’s nightlife. We’ll go bar-hopping, exploring the city's vibrant nightlife scene, where you can enjoy drinks, music, and the lively atmosphere that Accra is known for.Day 3

Nature and Reflection at Aburi Botanical Gardens
After exploring Ghana’s deep cultural roots, Day 3 offers a refreshing pause in the cool, green hills of the Eastern Region. At Aburi Botanical Gardens, you’ll stroll among century-old trees, discover exotic plant species, and connect with Ghana’s colonial-era botanical legacy. It's a perfect balance of nature, history, and relaxation—an ideal reset before the next heritage stop.Day 4

Journey into Ghana’s Colonial Past: Cape Coast & Elmina
Today, we journey westward to the Central Region, home to some of Ghana’s most significant historical landmarks. Our first stop is Cape Coast Castle, originally established by the Portuguese in 1555 as trading post. This iconic structure played a central role in the transatlantic slave trade and now stands as a powerful memorial to that era. We continue to Elmina, Ghana’s foremost historical destination. Here, we will tour Elmina Castle—the oldest surviving European structure in sub-Saharan Africa and the largest of Ghana’s coastal forts. Following the tours, we will check into our accommodation and unwind as we reflect on the day’s powerful experiences.Day 5

Rainforest Adventure & Cultural Homecoming
We begin the day with an exciting drive to Kakum National Park, one of West Africa’s most iconic rainforests. There, we’ll embark on a guided hike to the Canopy Walkway—a breathtaking series of seven suspension bridges suspended up to 27 meters above the forest floor. This walk offers a rare, bird’s-eye view of the lush canopy and a chance to learn about the park’s diverse wildlife and conservation efforts. In the evening, we return for a heartfelt naming ceremony, a powerful cultural tradition that formally welcomes us to the motherland—connecting us to our roots in a meaningful and memorable way.Day 6
Project day
We will have a full day rest and relaxation. Later in the day we will visit one of the few project we support in Ghana. Signing up on this trip makes you a part of our supporters making impact in the lives of people in Ghana. You will also have the chance to explore on your own on that day.Day 7

Journey Through Memory: Assin Manso to the Ashanti Kingdom
After breakfast, we depart north-west toward the Ashanti Region of Ghana. Along the way, we stop at the poignant Assin Manso Slave River Site, once a major slave market and the final bathing point for enslaved Africans before their forced march to the coastal castles and eventual shipment into the unknown. Following this powerful experience, we continue our journey to Kumasi, the cultural and historical heart of the Ashanti Kingdom. Upon arrival, we check into our accommodation and rest in preparation for the days ahead in this storied city.Day 8

Exploring the Heart of the Ashanti Kingdom
Our day begins with a visit to the Okomfo Anokye Sword Site, a sacred symbol of the founding of the Ashanti Empire and the legendary spiritual power of Okomfo Anokye. We then continue to the Kumasi Centre for National Culture, where we’ll gain deeper insight into the rich traditions, crafts, and heritage of the Ashanti people. Next, we explore the vibrant and bustling Kejetia Market, one of the largest open-air markets in West Africa—a sensory experience full of color, energy, and local life. Our final stop is the Manhyia Palace Museum, the official seat of the Asantehene (King of the Ashanti). Here, we’ll be introduced to the royal history, cultural pride, and enduring legacy of this powerful kingdom.Day 9

Weaving Culture into Farewell: Adawomase & Return to Accra
After breakfast, we begin our journey back to Accra, bringing our heritage experience full circle. Along the way, we stop at the renowned Adawomase Kente Village, home to generations of master weavers. Here, we’ll learn about the origins, patterns, and cultural significance of Kente cloth, a powerful symbol of Ghanaian identity and pride. After this enriching cultural encounter, we continue to Accra and check into our accommodation for a restful evening ahead of tomorrow’s departure.Day 10
Farewell Ghana: Final Reflections & Departure
Our final day in Ghana is reserved for relaxation, last-minute shopping, and preparing for departure. Take this time to revisit favorite spots, collect souvenirs, or simply reflect on the journey. Later in the day, we transfer to Kotoka International Airport for check-in and onward travel, carrying with us unforgettable memories of Ghana’s heritage, culture, and hospitality.- Accommodation
