February 28, 2024

Elmina, Ghana

In a heartwarming display of solidarity with the fishing community of Elmina, RazorSocial, the new partners of the Michael Kunke Foundation, have teamed up to generously donate 63 school uniforms to needy girls at the Elmina Catholic Girls’ Primary School. Situated along the picturesque coast of Ghana, Elmina is a vibrant fishing community where many families struggle to make ends meet, often unable to afford new uniforms for their children.

The students, hailing from families grappling with economic challenges, were carefully selected by the school authorities to benefit from this meaningful donation. For these girls, the gift of a school uniform transcends its material value, symbolizing hope and opportunity in the pursuit of education.

Michael Kunke, the Founder of the organization, expressed his gratitude for the partnership with RazorSocial, stating,

“This collaboration signifies our shared commitment to making a meaningful impact in the lives of these girls. These new uniforms will not only encourage the girls to attend school regularly but also boost their confidence both inside and outside the classroom. Together, we can provide them with the tools and support they need to succeed.”

The donation of school uniforms, made possible by the combined efforts of the Michael Kunke Foundation and RazorSocial, represents a significant step towards achieving educational equity and creating opportunities for young girls to thrive. As these students proudly don their new uniforms, they are not only equipped for academic success but also empowered to pursue their dreams with confidence and determination.

Accompanying Michael Kunke and representing RazorSocial in the presentation was David Duron, a philanthropist and an investor of Lemon Beach Resort and a longstanding partner of the Foundation, underscored the significance of the initiative, stating,

“In a community where fishing sustains livelihoods but leaves many families financially strained, initiatives like these are instrumental in ensuring that every child has access to quality education.”

Together, they have spearheaded numerous impactful projects in the KEEA Constituency, demonstrating their shared commitment to community development and empowerment.
